Doug Thompson - Founder Doug Thompson is an accomplished author, internationally recognized naturalist and award-winning photo-journalist/ filmmaker. Most of all, Doug is a man at peace with the planet and is dedicated to preserving the natural world.
DolphinWorks was developed with his refreshing viewpoint and inspiration during lectures, natural history experiences or wildlife and marine expeditions. Doug has organized and led over one hundred long-range expeditions from Mexico to New Zealand. Hosting some of the world’s most influential leaders and decision makers, Doug has earned international notoriety as a leader in ocean mammal research.

Robin Kobaly Thompson - Robin Kobaly Thompson is Executive Director of The SummerTree Institute and a professional botanist with over twenty years experience. DolphinWorks is privileged to share The Power of Plants series, a prized event that Robin developed and lectures across the country.
After receiving her Masters degree in Biology from The University of California, Robin traveled the world continuing her passion with plants, birds and wildlife. She then began an extensive career with the Bureau of Land Management. Creator of award winning educational projects, Robin has appeared on programs for television and radio broadcast.

Angie Cowan has conducted research and led many oceanic programs for the Ocean Institute in South California. She is a science instructor, has her Masters degree and studied abroad in marine science. Angie was the lead instructor for the Catalina Island Ecology Safari Series. She is an accomplished diver and sailor and is an excellent hiker. Angie has an exceptional knowledge of natural history in and around our coastlines.
Angie has worked with DolphinWorks for several seasons and has received rave reviews from our clientele. She is enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and has a great presence with our groups. We are delighted to now have Angie Cowan as our lead naturalist.
